Steps Of Cat Pose:

a) Start with getting on your fours (tabletop position).

b) Make sure that your arms are perpendicular to the floor, and your hands are placed flat on the floor under your shoulders.

c) Your knees should be placed hip-width apart at this time. Your vision should be straight.

d) Now, slowly inhale and raise your chin as you begin to tilt your head backward slightly.

e) Gradually, push your navel down and raise your tailbone slightly and hold yourself in this position for a few seconds.

f) Then, slowly exhale and drop your chin to your chest while arching your back and relaxing your hips.

g) You may continue holding on to this position and then slowly go back to the tabletop position again.

h) Practice this set for about 5 to 6 times.

 

Precautions Of Cat Pose:

• Avoid this asana if you have a neck injury.
